POINT CLOUDS

Using the latest HDR scanning technology with the Leica P-Series scanner and the powerful Leica Cyclone software we can provide our clients with fully registered point clouds (cleaned or uncleaned) along with registration reports in a wide range of formats from .PTS to .E57 or use the point clouds in house to produce BIM models to suit any specification and budget.

A great use of Point Clouds is for the as-built stage of a project when the scans will accurately record any installation which we can in turn correctly model and record the installation for future maintenance. This can save an incredible amount of time and cost having to manually mark up drawings to indicate changes on-site, thus allowing site engineers to concentrate on what they do best.

SURVEY FOR BIM

As a BIM company, our expertise lies in coordinating the MEP services within several industry sectors such as health care. We commonly work with Point clouds to coordinate the MEP services within the building, this can for the building itself or ensure that we have coordinated our new services with any existing services. Our surveying department can complete the full Survey to BIM process in house using 3D laser scanning with the latest technologies.

LARGE POINT CLOUD SURVEY

We were instructed to provide a full internal and external point cloud survey of a large college building. We used a combination of Leica P40 HDS and RTC360 laser scanners to scan all 5 floors plus roof space and plant rooms, along with elevation data. The point cloud was split into manageable files and issued in Recap.

LARGE MOTORWAY BRIDGE SERVICE WALKWAY

Here we undertook a very intricate laser scanning project, spanning a total of almost 3 miles with multiple obstacles to overcome. The final point cloud was issued as a .E57 suitable for importing into Tekla.

STEELWORK MODEL

This structure was scanned and modelled following exposure of the existing Steelwork, only relevant information was modelled, allowing our client to import data direct to Tekla as .IFC file and model the proposed steelwork in place.

DERELICT STEELWORK

Following extensive fire damage, our client was tasked with making good this industrial unit. We scanned the structure inside and out, and provided a .IFC file to enable them to assess and model all damaged steelwork as necessary.
